WELCOME

Welcome to TAMAKA (aka Tipi Land). This sacred land is held as a place for healing, rest, recreation (such as fly fishing and ping pong), and communion with Self, friends and Nature. We are located a short walk away from Steelhead Falls, as well as a place of more private Deschutes River access known as “Folley Waters”.

TAMAKA (Tipi Land) – A serene sanctuary for rest, healing, and connection with Nature. Nestled at the edge of the Steelhead Falls Wilderness Area, this sacred land offers a peaceful retreat for solo travelers, couples, or small groups. Guests can enjoy hydrotherapy with a wood-fired sauna and cold (or hot) shower, explore nearby trails, or unwind in the communal Tipi for yoga, meditation, and quiet reflection.

With options to stay in your own camper van, pitch a tent, or sleep in our 26’ Tipi as part of a personal (or group) healing retreat, your experience also includes access to some kitchen amenities setup in the garage (a running sink w/ hot water, a full fridge for your exclusive use, electric tea kettle, toaster oven, dishes and cutlery), a medicine wheel, wired speakers for listening to music in the garage, ping pong, and star-filled nights by the fire. A “digital detox” is gently encouraged—there’s no WiFi, no cell towers, and no wireless tech—just clean air, pure spring water, and organic frequencies. From Tipi Land it is an 8 minute walk to the river through BLM, or a 15 minute walk to the Steelhead Falls trailhead. While Tipi Land and the Steelhead Falls wilderness area is a destination in and of itself, Smith Rock State Park is only a 22 minute drive away:-)

In its highest vision, TAMAKA offers sanctuary and refuge for a person who wants a solo healing retreat experience, nature immersion, EMF detox and reset. These retreats can be self-guided or supported in a myriad of ways by Kat's healing gifts and technologies. To customize a healing retreat, please reach out to Kat!
